Fast & Furious 5, or Fast Five, sees the return of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) as the main original cast of the franchise. Now both on the run from the authorities, together with Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), they must complete one last job in order to attain their freedom. And this job involves stealing from a corrupt businessman, whom later hunts them down. Also on their tail is Federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), who never misses his target.
Finally! A sequel that is worth watching!
After 3 so-so and fast disappointing sequels to the first Fast & Furious (especially Tokyo Drift), director Justin Lin got it back on track once again. However, the story line isn't that great, and there's a little issue about the acting. Thankfully, those flaws are well covered by clever script writing, action-packed scenes, and The Rock. Dwayne Johnson in Fast Five? Great choice, especially the fight scene between him and Vin Diesel. Overall, a great movie to watch, five times fast. Thumbs up!
